Baumwolle ist atmungsaktiv, biologisch abbaubar, regenerierbar, außerdem temperatur- und feuchtigkeitsregulierend. Die Naturfaser ist leicht zu reinigen und hat hervorragende hygienische Eigenschaften. Baumwolle atmet, das bedeutet, sie nimmt Feuchtigkeit auf und gibt sie bei trockener Luft wieder ab. Baumwolle kratzt nicht, lädt sich nicht elektrostatisch auf und lässt sich sehr warm waschen. Baumwolle ist saugfähig und kann bis zu 80% ihres Eigengewichts an Feuchtigkeit aufnehmen.
